About California Equipment Services

California Equipment Services has supported semiconductor, thin film, and vacuum-based manufacturing environments since 1998. Building on decades of experience, we manufacture precision components used in ion source assemblies, neutralizers, quartz applications, and vacuum hardware systems. Our focus remains the same: dimensional accuracy, material integrity, and reliable production support. The name has evolved. The commitment to precision has not.

What We Do

California Equipment Services manufactures and supports:

Precision machining of exotic metals, including molybdenum, tungsten, and titanium

High-accuracy stainless steel components

Molybdenum grid plate manufacturing, assembly, and testing

Quartz and ceramic components

Cleanroom-ready vacuum hardware

Ongoing rebuild and replacement services

We work from customer drawings and specifications, supporting both prototype and production requirements.

Our Approach

Our work is driven by practical manufacturing discipline:

US and metric fasteners

Vented and unvented hardware

Silver-plated hardware (to specification)

Brass hardware

Specialty components (bead-blasted, nylon-tipped, etc.)

Most machining and assembly operations are performed in our California facility. Specialty components produced by qualified partners are inspected in-house prior to shipment. We prioritize clarity, repeatability, and long-term reliability.

Quality & Inspection

Quality at California Equipment Services is integrated into every stage of manufacturing — from material sourcing to final shipment. Our components are used in demanding semiconductor and vacuum environments where consistency and dimensional accuracy are critical.

Manufacturing Control

We maintain process control through:

Precision machining of exotic metals and stainless steel
Controlled assembly of molybdenum grid plates
In-house venting of vacuum hardware
Inspection of ceramic and partner-supplied components

Components are produced and verified according to customer specifications.

Inspection & Verification

Inspection practices include:

Dimensional verification

Visual inspection

Assembly confirmation

Review of incoming components from approved partners

Our objective is straightforward: components that meet print requirements and perform reliably in application.

Clean Handling & Packaging

For vacuum and semiconductor applications, handling is critical.

We emphasize:

Clean handling practices

Controlled preparation of vented hardware

Protective packaging for sensitive assemblies

Secure shipping cases for grid plates and fragile components

Long-Term Production Support

For vacuum and semiconductor applications, handling is critical.
